Americans are patriotic law-abiding citizens that pledge allegiance to the flag of red & white stripes & a blue ocean of silver stars. Americans positively contribute to the United States of America. It doesn’t matter if you have a different origin or culture or if you are not an American-born citizen. An american helps build the country and provides for the government. They all work hard whether if it's a teacher or a soldier overseas. One who enjoys rights given by our constitution. Celebrating 4th of July or any other federal holiday. America is blessed with freedom and prosperity. The american dream originally was the ending goal or reward for the hard work and positively contributing to the United States. The phrase “From rags to riches.” Working hard in America can help you become successful. You study in school and receive a great education. In america you have the freedom to make your own choices without the state or anyone telling you what you can or cannot do. This includes the First Amendment which includes the freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly and petition. In the american dream your voice can be heard without the fear of censorship or punishment. All of these are what make up the American Life.
3 distinct relationships in 1 circle ,each side shares one common factor. Each shows relationships based on how it affects all involved in it.
Descartes philosophy inquires its followers to questioning everything. When I mean anything...I mean ANYTHING...well almost anything. What you cannot doubt it your own existence because you can think about it. With irrational minds the image above can be something typical that a normal adult would say. At first I immediately saw a cloud and bush. The person's silhouette is staring at the other shape. There are two main factors that help determine what he sees. They are perception and perspective. Perception and perspective are shaped drastically, especially from early childhood, due to authority & tradition filtering out what is right and wrong. Authority is anyone who can tell people what and what not to do, like governments. Smaller scale examples of authority are parents and teachers.Tradition is anything that is past on from generations. Like the image above, almost everyone would draw a cloud like that. Another irrefutable truth is that anyone can imagine that shape to be anything. People may not see the same images as one another. However, he can make his own interpretations which makes him...well him and a human. Therefore proving we exist and not just something in our minds.
In Language Arts, we made a ladder with 8 steps. Each step was more simple than the previous one. The top was a universal theme and the bottom was a very very very specific thing. We went like this; Marco Antonio Alday Flores, Student, Classmate, School, Education, Future, Success, and Influence. We also made an abstract art painting that is suppose to represent all of those. We also had back ground shapes that are suppose to mean from bottom to top and everyone is suppose to see something else.
After reading Decartes philospohy I now have a better understanding to his phrase, "I think, therefor I am". I now realize that It means I can think, and that is why I am who I am. His philosopy is about questioning everything and the purpose of life is to think. He says that our imagination is limited by authority. Such as school, parents, government or anyone who says what's right or wrong. He also says that the purpose of life is to think. He says that it is an irrifeutable truth that the brain is the superiorizes the body and is the stongest organ in the human body.
We recently finished our first project of the year. We finished the mindset project and I had a fun time doing it. The research was the...meh part. The part that excited me was the creation part. It was my favorite part because it was all up to my imagination to create a visual piece that resembles my paragraphs. I constructed a board that works as a race board. There are two competitors, a tortoise and hare. They can move along the board but come across obstacles. They pass each obstacles differently.
